American Sign Language
In Fall 2017, I had the opportunity to begin learning another language: American Sign Language. I chose to explore this language as it would help me in teaching both Spanish and English to second language learners. Language teaching methods such as Total Physical Response (TPR) and Total Physical Response Storytelling (TPRS) use sign language to help teach students vocabulary using motions.

DEMONSTRATION OF PROFICIENCY
Below I created a video with signs that I plan on using in my future second language classrooms. I voiced the translations in Spanish.

FINAL PROJECT
In my final project, I wanted to research Deaf education and how students acquire both ASL and English. I related this pedagogy to the methods which I will use in my future language classroom, which will include using some signs.
