Volunteer Experiences
Rake the Town
Partnering with VINE in the Mankato community, the Honors Program raked three lawns to help out. Working together made the day pass quickly!

Work Experiences
Au Pair in Spain
I lived with a family in Madrid, Spain, for two months, and engaged in a cultural exchange. I now have a second family half way across the world.
Student Activities Director
As the Student Activities Director for the Honors Program at MNSU (2016-2017), I worked with students and faculty alike to plan extracurricular and academic events, such as Cookies & Conversation discussions, theatre nights, and the end of the year celebration of student/staff achievements called Convocation. This experience helped me to grow as a leader and improve on my communication with others. I became comfortable asking others for their assistance. Planning events is a team effort, and I got to know many new people both in and out of the Honors Program!
Student Consultant on Teaching
Working with professors on campus, I have had the opportunity to observe in many different types of classrooms, from engineering, to psychology, to sociology, to nursing. These experiences have allowed me to reflect on teaching styles and what kind of teacher I will be in my own classroom soon.
